# My program payment failed

> Fix declined program payments on Freshmango, including bank blocks, 3-D Secure issues, insufficient funds, and cards that don't support recurring charges.

If your program payment fails at Step 7 of the application journey, your bank or card issuer is usually the reason. The most common cause is a fraud block that you can lift by calling your bank or trying a different card.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Retry the payment">
    Return to the payment step in your application and click **Pay now** again. Some declines are temporary.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Complete 3-D Secure">
    If your bank requires 3-D Secure (a second password or SMS code), make sure you complete it fully. Closing the window early counts as a failure.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Try a different card">
    Use another credit or debit card, or ask a co-founder to pay with their card.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Call your bank">
    If the charge is still declined, call the number on the back of your card and ask them to approve the transaction to Freshmango OÜ.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Other causes

* **Insufficient funds** — Make sure your card has enough available credit or balance to cover the program fee.
* **Card does not support online or international charges** — Some debit cards block online or cross-border payments. Credit cards typically work better.
* **Corporate card restrictions** — Company cards may require pre-approval for software or education purchases. Check with your finance team.
* **Stripe session expired** — If you left the payment page open too long, refresh and restart the checkout.

<Info>
  Program pricing and refund policies are defined in your program agreement. If you do not have a copy, email support.
